Clerksroom are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working individual to join our experienced and dynamic clerking team in a busy and innovative barristers’ chambers based in Taunton. The ideal candidate will be a team player who thrives in a pressurised and fast paced environment, works with a high level of attention to detail and is able to manage and prioritise own extensive workload.
Main duties will include:
- Accurate recording of incoming correspondence
- Creating new case files, conflict checking and recording of correct types
- Allocation of new instructions in consultation with the diary clerks
- Answering the telephone
- Managing and directing enquiries
- Assisting different departments as required
No previous experience necessary as full training will be provided. Must be computer literate, experienced with Microsoft Office and Word. GCSEs in English and Maths at minimum Grade C essential. Full UK driving licence preferable.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (alternate weekly shift system of 8am - 5pm and 9am - 6pm).
Salary: £18,000p/a. Holiday 20 days p/a (increasing to 22 days upon successful completion of 6 months probation).
The position is to be filled ASAP (Interviews will start in week commencing 12th November 2018).
