"Thank you very much for the excellent way you handled the mediation. I really was most impressed. This was a difficult mediation with a great deal of distrust and suspicion and your skilful and sensible approach almost brought off a near miracle by very nearly allowing the dispute to settle on the day of the mediation, and did much to ensure it settled shortly thereafter. Both my client and I are very grateful to you." Tom Walshe of William Sturges LLP
A strong advocate of mediation she believes that almost every case, whatever the issues, the number of parties, the complexity, can be resolved through mediation. During her years as a barrister, solicitor and finally as a family and civil circuit judge she has had first hand experience of how expensive, time consuming and emotionally draining litigation can be and how rewarding a mediated solution is for all the parties.
Her determination to help parties avoid this by reaching agreement is demonstrated through her listening skills, her ability to get the parties to concentrate on the key issues, by sometimes thinking laterally to help bring the parties together and by maintaining a sense of humour and proportion.
