I am a CEDR, ADR Group and PMR Group accredited Civil and Commercial mediator, and am qualified to teach the CEDR Civil & Commercial course to others, and have trained hundreds of other mediators all over the world.
I have also been a practicing barrister for 14 years, with a very strong track record in Court specialising in Employment and general civil claims. In addition, I have held qualifications in coaching for 12 years, making me particularly astute at being able to get to the heart of my clients’ concerns.
Why choose Sheila as your mediator?
I aim to deal with all matters that come to me in a sensitive and solution focused way, so that all parties feel heard, and so that matters can come to a win-win conclusion as swiftly as possible.
My belief is that a good mediator must show everyone concerned that they are neutral, non-judgmental, and be deeply invested in all parties coming to a conclusion and I am always conscious to display those principles within any mediation that I do.
In my capacity as a mediation trainer as well as a mediator, I am also often called upon to advice in relation to mediation issues in difficult cases for the mediators I have trained in the past. As such, I am able to assist in a variety of disputes to help all those involved in mediation to gain clarity through particularly difficult issues. Just wanted to say a big thanks for everything you did on this case. I think you have achieved the impossible! I didn't think for one moment that an agreement would be reached between the two of them. It sounds like you really earned your fee(!) and I'm so grateful that the agreement also protected S.
“Sheila has a small arsenal of tools, methods and advice to break down and solve the problems you are experiencing. She took me through a few of her methodologies to help my working relationships over a few hours. Shay was able to help me understand where the successes and problems lay and also offered many helpful suggestions on how things might be improved”.
Simon, Director of an IT Firm
“Sheila taught me to see my situation in a different way and helped me to focus on the positive aspects at a time when I could no longer see them. She is very patient and understanding, and gave me the confidence to not only deal with this situation but with whatever comes my way.”
Sue, Magic Circle Law firm
Sheila is always calm, composed, confident and nothing seems to faze her. Her knowledge of Law would appear to be extensive. Miss Aly was meticulous in her preparation of our brief and conducted herself professionally
Raj & Angela Pusuram, Care Providers
Sheila managed to communicate the legal technicalities of the case in way which was wholly understood by laypeople – a skill many legal professionals lack these days and did so in an empathic, sensitive way.
Jane Dronsfield, MD at Jane & Co Ltd
“I recommend to you Sheila Aly. When faced with the complexities of employment legislation, truth is never simple to expose. My experience of Sheila was that she listened and explained and with calm and careful reasoning represented the facts of my case. No gimmicks, no confusion and a strong legal mind.”
