Meera joined Clerksroom in September 2018 after having spent time as General Counsel for firms such as Sodexo, HCA Healthcare, Ramsay, Nelsons, RSPCA and DHI.
During her time as General Counsel Meera was responsible for providing robust legal advice on commercial agreements and commercial disputes globally. She also managed a team of lawyers to ensure that disputes were dealt with pragmatically. Meera has extensive advocacy experience before the English Courts and in International forums, Meera has an innate ability to grasp issues quickly and offer solutions that are focussed on providing solutions with business insight to legal problems.
Meera is based in London and is happy to travel nationwide.

Meera has vast experience in clinical negligence claims developed extensively through her roles as General Counsel at Ramsay, HCA Healthcare and Nelsons. In these roles Meera managed an array of commercial disputes, such as the Competition and Market Authority investigation into the health sector that resulted in an overhaul of all contractual agreements to make them fit for purpose and to avoid a hefty penalty through litigation. She has reviewed personal injury claims, drafted advise on quantum’s, dealt with disclosure and other issues related to inquests, reviewed and drafted policies for various professional organisations for compliance with regulatory matters including the GMC and CQC. Meera has been involved in product liability class actions in Boston, USA, seeking interlocutory relief in litigation in Norway against doctors and nurses that sought to exploit the companies’ intellectual property, she drafted the pleadings for the litigation matter that resulted in settlement at day one of a three-day hearing.
Before her General Counsel roles Meera was in chambers she specialised in family proceedings emphasis on private law children disputes and financial disputes.
Meera’s robust and solution focussed approach is appreciated by professional and her clients in circumstances where there are usually high levels of tension, risk and emotion for them.
Meera is accredited by the Bar Council to accept instructions on a Public Access basis.
