General Information

Wayne Lewis is a senior British barrister and former Senior Crown Prosecutor. Called to the bar in 1982, he possesses a wealth of experience in litigation and advisory services. He is one of the few barristers that has been approved by the Bar Standards Board to conduct civil litigation and is accredited to accept instructions on a direct access basis.

As a former Senior Crown Prosecutor, Wayne dealt with all matters of criminal law, from committals to serious trials, where he gained strong advocacy skills.

Having held legal advisory roles with PLC companies and headed internal legal departments, Wayne has significant experience in providing advice and drafting for international clients. He advises business start-ups and is often asked to provide representation for clients who are based overseas but need a UK voice, business/investor visa or simply an advisor. This representative service includes help with opening the necessary UK bank accounts and company formation to carry out the client's business in the UK.

Wayne regularly represents clients as an advocate before courts all over the country, including the High Court, Bankruptcy Courts, High Court Appeals and Immigration Appeal tribunals. His motto is "prepare to win" as he spends a lot of time on case preparation. His success rate is very high but he always tries to settle via mediation, thereby avoiding the expensive option of a court trial. Approachable, Wayne balances a positive mindset with a good sense of realism and is completely client-focused.
