John is an ADR Group accredited Civil & Commercial Mediator who adopts a practical and focused approach towards mediation, using the benefit of his considerable experience dealing with business transactions and civil and employment disputes to help reach a solution.  His combination of legal knowledge and practical nous as a qualified solicitor make him particularly well-equipped to deal with all the issues underlying a dispute as they arise.

John's general approach to mediation is to move as swiftly as possible into identifying and dealing with the wider interests and key concerns of the parties, with a view to establishing any common ground.  He prides himself on his ability to listen to and understand the issues people in conflict have and is a strong believer in the capacity of individuals, with the aid of a good mediator, to reach a solution to their problems without leaving them in the hands of the Courts.

John is held in high regard for his open and approachable attitude and strong reputation for his work in the law.  He has a huge depth of experience in dealing with a wide variety of commercial transactions and civil disputes but he can mediate any dispute, including in the following areas:

John was educated at East Anglia University, Norwich, where he read Law.  He was admitted as a solicitor in September 2003, having undertaken his training at Leonard Gray, Chelmsford.

John's offices in Chelmsford provide a suitable, comfortable and discreet environment for mediations but he is able to travel, wherever necessary to alternative premises.
