The Brief Exchange - Legal Notice

Clerksroom provide counsel for advocacy and advice for Small Claims, Fast Track & Multi-Track Trials, Tribunals as well as locating Judges and Recorders on behalf of the Court Service. In the event we are unable to provide a suitable barrister from our own membership, we offer a free service to our professional clients where we locate on their behalf, a barrister who is prepared to attend court on the date required at the fee specified.
Chambers respond directly to Clerksroom via our UK call centre and obtain the full case information, they agree to accept the booking at the specified fee before being transferred to you. Clerksroom will handle all replies and locate counsel or a pupil who is able to accept the booking, before confirming directly with the professional client.

For the avoidance of doubt, once counsel from other chambers has been confirmed to the professional client, all future communication regarding the case should be made direct to the chambers concerned and not to Clerksroom. We do, however, welcome feedback on any aspect of our service.

Please also note that the personal information contained in the information form is “NOT” transmitted at the outset. Only the instructed counsel is provided with the full contact information.

Clerksroom aim to deal with your booking and to locate suitable counsel during normal working hours: 08.30-18.00.

If you require any further assistance or would just like to speak to a clerk on the telephone, please call 0845 083 3000 where our lines are open 24/7.
